Kundapur : Ganesh Hegde of  Kundapur was stated to have been attacked thrashed for a theft case by group of people and the local police who took him to the Kundpur Police station .

Hegde had to be Hospitalized for the injuries sustained by him due to the beatings of the mob and the police. Hegde told the press that he was implicated in a false case of theft and remanded to police custody without being a culprit. The local police are further investigating in to the  matter.

Hegde is  reported to have attempted a suside on his arrest.
