Mangalore : Ganesh Karnik, MLC and Bharatiya Janata Party leader stressed , CBI probe into the death of a 14-year-old school girl Nanditha of  Thirthahalli.

Speaking in a press coference at BJP district office on wednesday Nov 5, Karnik said, that the party did not believe in the investigation by the CID. Only probe by the CBI would bring out the truth, he claimed.

Mr. Karnik, whip of the BJP in the Legislative Council, alleged that the law and order in the State had collapsed and the BJP condemned the Thirthahalli incident. After the Congress came to power atrocities against children and women had increased, he alleged.

The MLC alleged that the State government was prompting police to book cases against “Hindu activists” without valid reasons. Quoting some cases in Mangalore, like booking murder attempt case against those who threw cow dung against a social activist about six months ago, the MLC alleged it showed “anti-Hindu” stand of the State government.
