Udupi: The Dt. Crime Intelligence Police team arrested 3 persons here, suspected of abducting Leo Pereira of Karkala in March 2010. The criminals had then vanished with a ransom of Rs.20 lakhs. They were nabbed on Wednesday at Ajjarakadu Park here.
The three had resumed their extortion calls, and were arrested by an alert Police team on receiving complaints.
The intelligence team seized Rs.2 lakh and Jewellery items from the robbers Bharat, Prashanth and Dhanu. The young criminals were handed over to Karkala Police who registered a case against the 3 in a group.
