Bengaluru : Chief Minister expressed his dissatisfaction over 1948 applications that were pending for electrification under the Ganga Kalyana scheme and gave clear instruction to complete it within two months.
The instruction was given to the senior officials of the Energy Department in the meeting of District Commissioners and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officers held today at Vidhansouda Conference Hall.
Escoms should not cause undue delay in providing electricity connection. Arrears should not be kept pending for non-payment of fees. The CM instructed the officials of the Energy department not to make excuses that there are no transformers or poles.
The Chief Minister suggested to take up a campaign and carry out electrification work to clear all pending applications in JESCOM and HESCOM.
There should be no undue delay in drilling bore wells and electrification under Ganga Kalyan scheme. The Chief Minister warned that delaying matters is a crime.
What will you do keeping applications in your pocket
The Chief Minister enquired about the number of applications that have been received for establishment of power substation and providing land for transformer lines. Displeased with the reply of an officer, the CM questioned as to what the officer would do keeping those applications in his pocket and asked him to attend all the applications at once.
