Bantwal: A man lost his life after his bike collided with a gas tanker near Amai Bridge at Perne on Monday.

Mustafa alias Putthu (35) of Hirithadka Janatha colony is identified as deceased person. He was seriously injured after the collision and breathed his last on the way to the hospital.

He was going to Uppinangady from Mani on his bike and the gas tanker on the way to Mangaluru from Bengaluru hit him. After the collision he was thrown out of the bike to the road and due to the severe road injuries he lost his life.

He was the only bread winner the family. He survived by his wife three children, all are studying in primary school.

A case has been registered by the traffic police.
