Mangalore : After a long time, a German groom Wolfram Wintzer and Aussie bride Jecintha entered into wedlock in the traditional Hindu ceremony at Panambur beach on October 27 at 5.30 pm, Thursday.
The newly married German couple are archaeologists like Mangalore because of its topography.
Wedding rituals were performed by priests in a platform constructed in front of the beach, with the couple wearing the hindu traditional outfits.
The couple wished to have a marriage in Hindu tradition since they believed that Hindu marriages are ever lasting.
Bride’s parents were present in the ceremony, while Dr Harish Parala and Anjanadevi, scientists in Germany, were present on behalf of the groom.
The guests were served with ‘samosa’ and ‘jilebi’ in the ceremony. Around 80 people participated in the wedding took place at 5.30 pm.
