Mangalore: The Ginger Forum of Mangalore staged protest in the name of ‘Occupy Dalal Street’ front of DC Office in order to support ‘Seize Wall Street’ movement on October 24, Monday.
Addressing the protestors, SP Chengappa, president of Mangalore Bar Association said that Mangalore has decided to hold a protest against Indian corporate companies which are rate companies which are ‘looting’ Common men and America’s domination over global financial market.
Al though we live in the democratic country, the policies are designed by the government are in the vested interests of the corporate world,
He also said that only 99% of the population were being affected by the economic dominance of 1% are the rich corporate who rule the country.
He said that Forum demands to increase tax on rich and corporate companies.
Giving the brief on the protest, he said that it was started on September 17 in USA has now spread to 80 countries across the globe, and it demands curtailment of corporate domination, he said.
V T Rajashekar of Dalit Voice, rights activist Por Rita Noronha and PUCL leader P B D’Sa were among the dignitaries present at the protest.
