Mangalore: A one-and-half year old, mentally challenged, baby girl was found abandoned by parents at the “Glass House” located in Kudroli Temple on Saturday, September 17, creating headache for security and administration.

A Touring Couple from another part of the state, or another state, it was felt, might have done this unkind act of disowning a female child, mentally not sound.

Bunder police went into and investigation huddle over the rare incident. The child was taken to Wenlock hospital for emergency treatment, if needed. The location where the child was left unattended, was already covered by CCTV, and an attempt to trace out the parents was on.

B. Janardhan Poojary, temple Patron, and office-bearers of Sri Gokarnanath Temple, Kudroli, are willing to provide the expenses for the child’s treatment from Temple funds, if required, a spokesman clarified here.
