Bangalore : Chie Minister DV Sadananda Gowda has said that special emphasis would be laid on job creation by implementing all projects for which agreements had been reached upon at the recently held Global Investors Meet.
Speaking after inaugurating the new administrative block of KASSIA and the presentation of various awards given by the organization, the Chief Minister said the main objective of the investors meet was not just to attract investments, but also to create at least ten lakh job opportunities. The expected job opportunities will be created if at least 60 per cent of the projects go on stream, he added.
The Chief Minister said the state had a very strong industrial policy and added small industries played a very important role in the industrial progress of the state.
Former union minister MV Rajashekharan, delivered the Late KL Manjappa memorial lecture on the occasion. State Small Industries Minister Rajugowda released an industrial handout. KASSIA President Prakash N Raikar presided over the function.
Former Legislative Council Chairman Veeranna Mattikatti, MN Vidyashanker, General Secretary of Industries Department and others were present on the occasion.
