Mangalore: Unknown robbers broke into a householder Naushad’s house in city, when he was away at Moodubidri visiting in- laws, and took away jewellery in gold worth Rs 12 lakhs(62 sovereigns) on Monday, October24.

Noushad’s brother who reached home in early hours at 3 AM on Tuesday, had a fright when he discovered the robbery. The back door had been broken open by the thieves to do their nefarious act.

Police making enquires feel that someone was watching the movements of Naushad for a long time, to pounce on the situation to rob when he was away.

The Ullal police have registered the case and looking for the culprits.
