Mangalore : A Garuda Vahana, made  by Swarna Jewelers  with  5 kg gold was dedicated to Shree Vyasa Raghupathi, the presiding deity of Kashi Mutt Samsthan on January 20, Sunday.  The golden Garuda Vahana was earlier brought to the temple in a procession from Navabharath Circle. At the temple, Sri Sudhindra Theertha Swamiji of Kashi Mutt Samsthan, dedicated the golden offering to the Lord.

The fund for the Garuda Vahana was raised  with contributions from devotees. The value of the golden Garuda Vahana is estimated at Rs 8 crore. The wooden idol of Garuda Vahana is embellished in gold plating.
