Mangaluru : Good Friday was observed with solemnity and religious fervour across the Roman Catholic Church in the city on April 14, Friday.

The devotees went near by churches to participate in the Good Friday, include reading of the Passion of Christ, reciting a string of prayers, unveiling and veneration of the Cross and communion service.

The services are held in the afternoon, usually around noon or midday to 3pm, to remember the hours when Jesus was crucified. In Mangaluru churches the main service of Good Friday will be held at 4 pm.
