Mangalore: Christmas is in the womb of winter season and before long it will be delivered as a joyous occasion of a happy and silent night full of crimson lights and decorated trees, with hidden gifts in socks of Santa claus.
Peace and Harmony with goodwill is the Christmas message heralded by Rev Dr. John Sadananda, Brishop of CSI, Karnataka Southern Diocese, who added that Jesus gave it 2,000 years ago to guide the people, correct them, and show the way to live successfully. He would live forever.
The CSI Bishop spoke at a respectful meeting organised at Milagres Community Hall in city on Tuesday, December 6 by Mangalore Christian Council as the “Souhardra Christmas-2011” programme.
This was a prelude to actual Christmas tidings.
The Bishop declared that Jesus the Christ had strength to unite the whole world I brotherhood, and was not a mortal. He could bring harmony in a jealous and Selfish world to live in harmony and co-exist. The world needs to be cured of all ills, the Bishop stressed.
Mangalore Bishop, Rev. Aloysius Paul D’Souza asked Christions to live harmoniously without bickerings. Several religious heads gave their messages for a lively Christmas.
