Mangaluru: “The government cannot do anything in Cauvery river dispute, as the Supreme Court has declared its verdict. The government can only follow the order nothing else can be done,” said health Minister Ramesh Kumar.
He was speaking to the reporters after arriving to Mangaluru.
“We can’t question Supreme Court’s order. This is not a final verdict. This is a interim verdict and the next hearing is scheduled to September 20. We are hopeful that the SC will announce the verdict in favour of Karnataka,” he said.
Further commenting on new health norms in the state he said that none of the schemes are failing, but they are not been implemented effectively.
“When the schemes meet with beneficiaries, then only the scheme will be termed as successful one. There are many reasons behind not implementing the schemes effectively. So, the government is trying to implement new health norms to the state,” he added.
Minister U T Khader, Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza, MLA J R Lobo and others were present.
