Mangalore : Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee President Ramanath Rai said that the state government has no right to continue in the office after the Governor HR Bharadwaj’s recommendation to dissolve the state government.
Speaking at the press meet held at District Congress office on May 16, Monday, he said that Governor has all the rights to dismiss the government as the constitutional head of the state.
Rai said the state government has lost majority of the support in the legislative assembly with the changed composition. Hence, Yeddyurappa government must be dismissed immediately as the constitutional requirement, he said.
The Speaker and BS Yeddyurappa clearly indicate that they can bend the manipulation process to any level and gain the vote of confidence.
Further he said that, the district congress have submitted a memorandum in this regard to the Governor through Deputy Commissioner..
