Bangalore: A new name has now been added to the list of leaders vying for the post of Deputy Chief Minister and that’s the name of senior minister Govinda Karajola.
Sources have said that there were possibilities of CM Sadananda Gowda leaving for Delhi on Saturday evening to mount pressure on the high command to make Karajola as the Deputy Commissioner.
It has been learnt that the CM has agreed to be a leader of one faction of the BJP as per the request made by his loyalists at a meeting held in Bangalore on Friday.
The CM at the same time would build pressure on the high command to give cabinet berth to his loyalists in the new cabinet in case of a leadership change.
He is expected to meet party president Nitin Gadkari and senior leader LK Advani.
