Mangalore :  People relying on the river Netravathi are being cheated by the government by renaming the Netravathi River Diversion Project as Ettinahole project,  said Dinesh Holla, artiste and trekker.

He was speaking as a chief guest on the topic ‘Trekking, Environment and Kites’ at a programme  organised by Mangalore Productivity Council at SDM College Auditorium on September 13, Friday. Continuing he said the tributaries of Netravathi river  will be dried up even before they reached Netravathi.

MS Mahabaleshwar Bhat, Chief General Manager of Karnataka Bank, inaugurated the programme. Mahabaleshwara couple were honoured on  the occasion. Shobha Ravindra Rao, Treasurer of Mangalore Productivity Council. U Ramarao, President and others were present on the occasion.
