Mangalore : The state government seems to be still dilly dallying to drop charges against Kasturi channel reporter Naveen Soorinje who is arrested in the homestay attack case and is still behind bars since November 7.
Though the January 31 cabinet meet had resolved to drop charges against Soorinje, at the February 25 meeting the CM failed to sign the order in this regard and even failed to give a satisfactory reply as to when the journalist will be revealed.
However, sources reveal that the RSS was pressurizing the government against releasing Soorinje and wants the government to drop charges against all the accused in the case, if it intends to drop charges against Naveen and release him.
Even Mangalore MLA Krishna Palemar says Naveen should be released if all the innocents arrested in the case are also released.
