Mangalore : There is an indication that the state government may think in terms of withdrawing the case filed against Kasturi channel reporter Naveen Soorinje who is presently behind bars.
Speaking at the state legislative council, home minister R Ashok gave a hint in this direction. Reacting to a request made by MC Nanaiah JD(S) leader, to withdraw cases against Naveen, the minster assured to take appropriate legal action.
Naveen Soorinje was arrested in connection with the homestay attack and has been booked under CRPC’s Section 120(b) – criminal conspiracy, Section 147- rioting, and Section 354- for indecent representation of women.
