Mangalore : The Muslim Souharda Vedike South India has been critical of the Karnataka Government stance in dealing with the case of PDP leader Madani, an accused in the Bangalore blast case.
Speaking to media, SM Basheer Ahmed, the Vedike Secretary said the state government stance was condemnable and also accused the public prosecutor of leveling false charges during the court hearing that Madani had links with Pakistan and may once again establish links in case he was given bail.
Basheer said the state government was also falsely alleging that Madani who is ill, was blowing his illness issue out of proportions. The public prosecutor had also contended that Madani who is involved in 52 cases should not be granted bail.
He has also urged the state government to ensure that Madani got bail and see to it that the real culprits are brought to justice.
The hearing for the case will be held on August 5, Monday.
The Vedike chairman Syed Mohammad Saqaf Tangal, Secretary Abdul Azeez Musliyar, Kasargod district unit chief MKE Abbas were also present.
