Davanagere : The State Government has decided to refer the Sowjanya rape-murder probe to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Home Minister K J George said here on Wednesday.

Speaking to press persons, he said it was decided to seek CBI help as the government was ready for an impartial probe into the death of Sowjanya, pre-university course student of SDM College, Ujire in Dakshina Kannada district, which grabbed much media attention.
