New Delhi: With the inflationary devaluation of Indian Rupee, prices keep rising up rather than going down, once they go up to catch with the value of 2009.

Under latest Union budget presented by the ‘Prime ministerial material’ Finance minister and an elder congressman, Pranab Mukherjee of Bengal, Phone calls, hotel bills, life assurance policy premium, civil aviation rates, beauty parlour, dry cleaning, Cable operated viewing, health club massage, credit card, services obtained from high credit rated institutions, and  advertisements etc., have jumped up in anxiety asking for more money from All Fools ‘Day or April1, that ushers in a new financial year(2012-13) on Sunday.

The service tax on all these and more such services has been raised by 2% to 12% An amount of Rs18,600 crores will flow into Central treasuries, due to the measure.

Air-Conditioned(A/C) and first class railway travel, Courier services, and coaching classes, have become dearer now.

Only negative form of services will not attract service tax, and such a list would be prepared soon, Pranab told MPs last week

Thus entertainment programme cards, amusement facilities (Park etc.,) radio service, taxi/ autorickshow  Journeys, final (death) rites, funerals, schools to varsity education recognised training/coaching classes have a place in the negative services list and do not come under purview of service tax charges.
