Bangalore: If the heritage structure Vidhana Saudha has been left untouched or altered in any way since its construction in 1956, the Navalagund MLA Shanker Patil Munenkoppa who was newly appointed the Political Secretary to the CM, chose to raze to the ground a wall of the Vidhana Saudha in a bid to refurbish and renovate his chamber. This act has come under severe criticism and has now been stalled.
The MLA found that the Room nos 340 and 340 A allotted to him were not in accordance to Vaastu and he chose to have some modifications. He immediately directed PWD to
demolish the wall between the two rooms on the third floor in order to have direct access between the chamber and the personal area on Tuesday. As news spread, the same was strongly opposed by leaders.. The state government has however stalled the plans of the MLA to create access to his personal section by breaking a wall in Vidhana Saudha.
