Mangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister said that the Nethravathi river diversion project will be done with care without harming the people and environment. The project will be implemented only after convincing the locality people.
He was speaking to the media after he arrived at a Mangalore International Airport on September 26, Friday.
CM also said that he will organize a meeting environmentalists and political representatives of the region and instruct them to convince the people by focusing the importance of the project.
Speaking on Madesnana in Kukke Subrahmanya, he said that these kinds of ill practices must be stopped but unfortunately it will be organized as per the order passed by the court.
He also said that, he has directed the police department to take strict action against the moral policing activities and its members who try to disturb the peace in the state.
Commenting on the security provided to Tamilnadu CM Jayalalitha on her way to Bangalore for the case and judgment CM said that, he do not know whether she really has a life threat but he has made all security arrangement for her protection in city.
District in charge Minister and State Forest Minister B. Ramanath Rai, Health minister U.T Khader, MLA J.R Lobo, MLA B.A Mohiuddin Bava, MLC Ivan D’Souza and other congress leaders were also present.
