Bangalore: The state government  has decided to nominate MD Lakshminarayana, State Handloom Development Corporation President,  film star and Film Academy Chairperson Tara and former Rajya Sabha member KB Shaanappa to the e Legislative Council.

Consequent upon the decision, the Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has sent a proposal in this regard to Principal Secretary SV Ranganath who in turn has sent the same to  Chief Election officer who is expected to send it to Governor HR Bharadwaj on Friday, A notification is likely once the governor gives his stamp of approval.
