Mangaluru: Gramothsava and birth day of Odiyuru Shree to be celebrated on 31 July at Shree Gurudevadattha Samsthanam, Odiyuru.

In a press conference President of the organising committee H K Purushottham on Thursday at Mangaluru Press Club, said that whole village will be cleaned by the villagers during the Gramothsava.

“Since past 15 years the Gramothsava has been organised by the villagers on the birth day of Odiyuru Shree. Vanamahothsava, distribution of saplings and scholarships to the poor students will also be provided on the occasion,” he said.

He further said that the trust was established in 2001. The trust is concentrating on social welfare, cleanliness and education for the poor. It is proceeding with the motto of Culture, cooperation and organisation – prosperity. Gramothsava means it is the anniversary of Grama Vikas Scheme.

Committee Secretary Venugopal Marla, Chief Treasurer Jayanth J Kotian, Chief Convener of OSGGVS T Tharanatha Kottary and others were present.
