Udupi : The Vittlapindi, Sri Krishna Leelotsava at Carstreet Udupi on August 29, Thursday was witnessed by thousands. Lord  Krishna was taken in a procession  as enthusiasts broken earthen pots filled with curds, milk, colour etc.

The clay idol of Lord Krishna was taken in a golden chariot and later immersed in Madhwa Sarovar.

 The Huli Vesha teams, the Nasik band  added gaiety. The procession was led by Sri Vishwavallabha Teertha Swamiji of Sode Mutt. Sweets  were also distributed to the devotees.

Police had maintained tight security   for the Vittlapindi celebrations.
