Mangalore: Grew Tulasi plants in profession and offer the leaves to Lord God, and help that way to social welfare of all, advised Gurpur Vajradehi Math Swamiji Sri Rajashekharananda at Shaktinagar, while releasing a memo on Monday on Kotinamarchana (worship through a crore of names of God) to be conducted in April 2012 for welfare of all humanity at local Sri Gopalakrishna Temple, built by K.C. Naik.
Managing Trustee of the temple K.C. Naik (Builder) was present, along with Committee Chairman Prof. M.B. Puranik, Chandrahas Semitha, besides manager Krishnakumar, and others were present.
Swamiji offered Tulasi seeds to KP Shetty, owner of Karavali Colour Cartons. The opening function was held on Dec 26, Monday in picturesque Shaktinagar auditorium of the hill-top temple near Police lines. The Tulasi plants have a hundred varieties, grow in the wild, and have medicinal properties against pests like mosquitoes. A Tulasi park is known as Vrinda-vana.
