Mangaluru : The grocery stores will remain open, for a day, on Tuesday from 6am to 3pm while urging people to maintain social distancing while visiting shops for their purchases.

“Avoid crowding at shops. One person from each family can go for purchases,” Kota Srinivas Poojary said.

“Shopkeepers must not sell items beyond prescribed rates. If any such case comes to our notice strict action will be initiated against them,” Poojary warned.

Food will be provided to migrant labourers and the destitute in category A temples under the Muzrai department as also at Indira Canteens, he added.
