Udupi : A guest lecturer of the Government First Grade College in Tirthahalli of Shivamogga district, has ended his life by hanging himself here on December 23, Thursday.

The deceased is Sriharsha Shanbhog (38).

It is learnt, he was depressed as his job was not made permanent. His wife works as a guest lecturer at MGM College, Udupi and he ended his life in the staff quarters of the college. He has left behind his two children.

He was serving as a lecturer for the past 13 years and used to often express his unhappiness over not being provided a permanent job. It is learnt he was depressed over this issue and was also under treatment for his problem.
