Udupi: Slain Bhaskar Shetty’s wife’s brother-in-law D Bhaskar Shetty said that the allegations made by Gulabi Shetty were false and he had no business relationship with deceased.

Addressing the reporters on Thursday at Udupi Press Club, he said that his business relationship with Bhaskar Shetty ended in 2012. Since then there is no business relationship between them.

“If Rajeshwari and her son Navneet are the culprits then they should be punished. The allegations made on me by Gulabi Shetty were baseless and false allegations. Bhaskar’s assets were enjoyed and retained by his family members only. Even a house at Katpady is in the name of Gulabi Shetty,” he said.

“Bhaskar and Rajeshwari had marital problems since past 10 years. Many time I mediated between them to stop the quarrelling. After the partnership ended I left interfering in their matter. Rajeshwari even consulted a psychiatrist as she was suffering from depression,” he added.

He further said that he has enough business to deal with; there is no necessity to sneak into Bhaskar Shetty’s property. He further requested not to drag him in this matter as he wants to stay out of it.

Alleging Bhaskar Shetty’s and his nephew Balakrishna Shety’s involvement in the case, Gulabi Shetty, Mother of Bhaskar Shetty had urged to arrest them too.
