Bangalore: An attempt to bring about a compromise and peace between tow groups in BJP, by ‘Art of Living’ artiste Ravishankar Guriji, on Wednesday has backfired and left him black-faced. The Guriji from coastal region, now living in Bangalore, had asked the shettar group to fully support DVS Gowda as CM, and eschew any little differences.
The Shettar group rebuffed Gureji by telling him to solve the charge of 15 acres land encroachment charge standing against him first, before trying to mediate between tow BJP warring groups. If anyone else got down to such peace-keeping plans, they are exposed now.
Shettar group spokesman said they did not want Ravishankar’s advice, as they were not ready for any compromise within BJP.
Will they form a new party like Kannada Janatha Party, borrowing a phrase from B.S.Yeddyurappa, is anybody’s guess now.
Earlier ex-CM Yeddyurappa, along with Murugesh Nirani and Renukacharya, visisted the Ashram on Kanakapura Road, and met Ravishankar Guruji to discuss important matters.
Yeddy felt that the Art of living Guru’s guidance was quite necessary. The present awkwardness will pass soon. The Gowda Cabinet would be formed as per BJP High Command instructions. Yeddy said he was not applying pressure on anybody, in clarifying his position.
