Mangalore : Music director and singer Gurukiran inaugurated a two-day national-level inter-collegiate Agno Fest “Bonne Volonte Cirque- 2012” for the students of Arts, Commerce, Management, and Science students, at St Agnes College, Bendur on December 7, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurukiran said that he was not a born performer, but still participated in the school singing competition and won third prize and this was my inspiration for the singing career, he said.
He also said that we must utilize the opportunities we get in colleges, because once the students are out of colleges, they lose thier college friends, teachers, activities. He also enthralled the students with his film number.
The students of St Agnes College performed a welcome dance ‘Circus’.
The programme began with an invocation by the students of St Agnes College. A welcome dance ‘Circus’ was performed by the students. The students handed over the “Bonne Volonte Cirque- 2012” Trophy to the Students President Falan Lasrado.
Principal Dr Sr Prem said that this Agnofest intercollegiate fest will give best part of college life to every student and enjoy with their friends. She also said that the staffs and students co-ordinators have worked hard for organising this event.
Staff coordinator Prof Malvika Shetty welcomed the gathering. Prajwala Rao, Co-ordinator delivered the vote of thanks.
