Mangalore : A Guruvandana programme to felicitate teachers on the occasion of Teachers Day was held at  AB Shetty Hall, Bunts Hostel on September 5, Thursday under  the auspice sof the

Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, Department of Public Instruction, Mangalore South Block Teachers’ Day Committee and Block Education Office, Mangalore South.

UT Khader, State Health Minister was the chief guest and urged teachers to ensure quality education to their students

Dr Rameela Shekhar, Dean of PG Department at Roshni Nilaya School of Social Work  said that teaching alone would not help and students should also be enlightened on various aspects to make them responsible citizens.
