Bangalore: A division bench of Karnataka High Court on Wednesday February approved the stay order given earlier by a single judge of KHC, against monetary irregularities alleged to have been committed by Hassan Milk Producers Union Chairman and JD-s MLA, H.D. Revanna in the Mother Dairy KMF, when he was Chairman during 2000 to 2008.
Chief Justice Vikramjit Sen and Judge B.V. Nagaratna Constituted the division bench by the then CM B.S. Yeddyurappa and to no end companies.
The rejection of appeal has embarrassed BJP leaders who are in BSY group upholding him to return as CM so far.
Revanna is alleged to have swallowed or misused crores of rupees in KMF, during his reign as chairman, before he was ousted and replaced by MLA Gali Somashekhar Reddy of Bellary BJP group.
The charge was made in the light of reconsideration of audited accounts of KMF in the period 2001-08 (7 years). The complaint came from coop Societies sub-registrar, on review of 7 year audited accounts in 2009.
Revanna had questioned the allegation before a single Judge of Karnataka High Court and had a stay order approved by it in March 2011.
The BJP Govt sought to throw out this verdict. But Yeddy had disappointment in store in the KMF legal battle, on March 1st, 2012.
