Bangalore: As expected, the chairman of Information Commission has resigned his high post on Thursday, consequent upon the blame that came his way in regard to certain faulty appointments made during his term as chairman of KPSC in a corrupt fashion. H.N. Krishna submitted his resignation papers to the state Governor.
The selection programmes handled by him in KPSC for probationary Officer (A&B) Gazetted in 1998, 1999 and 2004 were treated as disorder.
In 2005 he prevented a Muslim student, Allah Bux, Under threats from appearing for main examinations, by getting Bux to sign on certain papers under force.
The chief Justice J.S.Khehar(Now promoted to Supreme Court) asked the CID police to register on FIR at the Vidhana Soudha police station against H.N. Krishna on August 12. Several IPC sections(8) were quoted on the officer’s conduct to remove him.
Krishna’s anticipatory bail had been rejected this week. The accusations were sufficient to put in his papers by Krishna as chairman of information Commission.
