Bangalore : Government appointed M Lakshimi Narayana a senior IAS officer as commissioner of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike. H Siddayya relinquished his post yesterday as he is retiring after a eventful carrier. A man known for his strict discipline and his war footing efforts to clean the garbage from Bangalore streets has finally calls it a day. It is rumored that he will be asked to continue in his post but newly elected government appointed M Lakshiminarayana as the next commissioner.

H Siddayya is known for his uncompromising stand on BBMP affairs specially garbage disposal management after the worldwide criticism of Bangalore as the city of garbages. He took strict measures to clean the city of garbages and clogged drainages but at the same time become unpopular among BBMP staff. The citizens of Bangalore wishes that new commissioner will continue the good work done by H Siddayya so that Bangalore will remain clean and beautiful.
