Mangaluru : Raviraj advocate two wheeler parked in the court complex went missing three weeks ago. He had register a complaint in the North Police station.
The police inspector and other policemen personnel from Urwa police station in the city were checking vehicles at Kuntikana on Monday 9th. A person riding a Bajaj Pulsar motor bike, was stopped and was asked to produce documents relating to the bike and found that he did not possess any document. He could not give convincing reply for not possessing those documents.
When asked for his name he identified himself as Raghavendra Bhat (28), son of Sadashiva Bhat, resident of Devikripa House, Konchady, Mangaluru.
During further questioning, he confessed that he had stolen the above motor bike from the court complex compound about three weeks back. Complaint of bikes missing were checked and the details in the complaint registered by Raviraj advocate matched.
Suspecting Raghavendra Bhat, could be a habitul thief, further questioning, him revealed, that he also had stolen inverter, battery, and computer from the office of Redrocks real estate office near Bajpe four months back. The total value of the goods and vehicle confiscated from the accused has been estimated at Rs 1,00,000.
After producing him to the court, the accused was remanded to judicial custody.
