Udupi: Haladi Srinivas Shetty, MLA of Kundapur has decided to tender resignation to his legislatorship after feeling dejected and frustrated by the party leadership which despite inviting him to Bangalore to take oath as a minister, dropped his name from the list in the eleventh hour. Speaking to press men, he said he was hurt by the action of the party at a time when he had never lobbied for cabinet berth nor had be identified himself with any faction.
It may be recalled here that Kundapur taluk observed a bundh on July 13, Friday condemning the injustice done to its legislators. Thousands of Halady supporters staged a rasta roko at Kundapur’s Shastri Circle.
