Mangaluru : BJP leader Harikrishna Bantwal said that he will file a complaint to the Lokayukta and ACB on the alleged encroachment of government land by District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, he accused Rai of illegally encroaching 10 acre government land on Survey number 97/1 at Kallige village in Bantwal taluk. He said Rai has cultivated rubber on the land and demanded that the deputy commissioner also probe the issue.
He urged the authorities to file a criminal case against Rai.
Bantwal said that he will submit a complaint to the Lokayukta during his visit to Mangaluru on November 17.
On the other hand, Ramanath Rai said that he will file a defamation case against Harikrishna Bantwal within three days for defaming him by levelling false allegations.
Reacting to the allegations of Bantwal, Rai said, “There is no truth in the sanctioning of the land to my wife’s name under Akrama Sakrama scheme. The defamation case will be filed by Saturday.”
