Mangalore : The harvest festival was celebrated at CSI Sushanthi Church in Mercara Hill on Oct 9 Sunday.

D. I. Hans, Vice Chairman led the prayer and said that celebrating the harvest festival is a way of expressing gratitude to God for giving plenty of food. Later, the blessed grains were distributed among devotees.

Later in the afternoon, the sports event was planned in the compound of the church with Raymond D’Souza, who was crowned Mr. World in 1990, as the chief guest.

Chairman William Sanjeeva Puthran, Convener Jyothi Britto, Secretary Shavina Soans, Treasurer Manoj Manjers, Joint  Secretary Karen Anchan will also be present.
