Mangaluru: “Stern action should be taken against Kandavar panchayat President and PDO for destructing the areca nut farm of Krishna Pallekara of Kolambe village,” urged Hasiru Sene legal advisor S P Chengappa.

Adressing the reporters At Mangaluru Press Club on Tuesday, he said that these people have done this work with the police protection. Krishna was doing agriculture legally at the government land. All of a sudden arecanut trees have been destroyed which were about to give fruits.

“This matter has been informed to agricultural Minister, district in-charge Minister and Revenue Minister,” he added.

Sene President Shredhar Shetty Bailugutthu, Vice-President Shanakeerthi Balipa, Manohar Shetty and others were present.
