Hate Story 3, the latest in the Hate Story franchise, is continuing its dream run at the domestic box office. The film stars Sharman Joshi, Zareen Khan, Karan Singh Grover and Daisy Shah in key roles and has already cooked up a storm of sorts at the cash registers.
Hate Story 3 has been able to mint Rs 31.22 crore at the box office in India so far, nailing its first Monday too.
On the fourth day of its release – its first Monday – which is considered a litmus test for films as far as the business is concerned, Hate Story 3 has earned Rs 4.4 crore in India.
Directed by Vishal Pandya, the film is the third installment in the popular Hate Story franchise. The film had received largely mixed to negative reviews from critics upon its release, but that hardly made a difference to it, business-wise.
On the first day itself, Hate Story 3 made Rs 9.72 crore at the box office in India.
Hate Story 3, with the whopping amount of money it has collected at the cash registers, is a surprise hit of 2015.
The film has been made at a budget of Rs 6.5 crore, and the producers have spent another Rs 6.7 crore on advertisements. And in just three days of its release, the film had earned back that amount.
Such has been the success of Hate Story 3, that director Vishal Pandya has already revealed that he is planning the fourth in the Hate Story franchise. Hate Story 4 too is on the cards.
