Kasargod : More hawala cash is entering Kasargod district particularly from  the Gulf. According to information available nearly Rs 5 crore has entered the state. In Kasar god district alone as much as Rs one crore hawala cash has entered.

In a recent case, police had even seized Rs 66 lakh hawala cash from a man as soon as he arrived by a bus from Kasargod.

Police say hawala cash is transported in buses and trains and also in private vehicles and arrive to India from the Gulf by flights. Later it is sent through agents in buses.

In the recent case the police are on the lookout for some car bound men who had escaped as soon as they saw the police.

It is said even fake notes are kept along with hawala cash to make circulation easy,
