Mangalore : The Hayatul Islam Association in Mangalor organised a mass marriage ceremony on February 24, Sunday, wherein six pairs entered into wedlock at a simple function.

 Haji Abdul Khader Darimi Kukkila, Khatib of Kudroli Muhiyuddeen Jumma Masjid, inaugurated the  function. He urged the society to shun weddings of grandeur.

Alhaj Shaikuna Twaka Ahmed Musilyar, Khazi of Dakshina Kannada conducted the rituals. In his address, he said the society must encourage simple wedding functions.

UT Khader, MLA and  KS Mohammad Masood, Muslim Central Committee President,  Haji  Abdul Razak, President of  Hayatul Islam Association, CK Ahmed, Secretary, Sadakatulla Faizi, Khatib of Kendra Jumma Masjid,  and others blessed the newly married couple.
