Ahmednagar: Anna Hazare has rued the fact that he had to provide explanations every now and then about his appreciation of Narendra Modi’s developmental works as CM in Gujarat.
“I am an a-political person and total opponent of any kind of communalism” in Indian politics, he has reiterated in his letter to fighter against corruption, Ms. Mallika Sarabhai, who had sent an email to him against Modi, as Hazare had praised his (Modi’s) constructive work.
Hazare was hurt to explain to Sarabhai what ha had earlier told about CM Modi. Hazare had told in Delhi in reply to press questions that good work of progress had been done in Gujarat and Bihar states, in rural development areas.
While Mallika had earlier contested an election in Gujarath (Ahmedabad) against L.K Advani (BJP) only to lose it, Hazare had sent his reply from his native town Ralegan Siddi of Ahmednagar district in Maharashtra. Hazare made it clear that he had condemned the violent attacks and rebellions of a communal nature of 2002. He hoped Sarabhai who fought for common people’s welfare and rights realize why he was fighting against corrupt ways in Indian public life, all his lifetime.
