Bangalore: Education Minister Vishweshwar Heggade Kageri gave an ultimatum to those who opposed teaching of Bhagawad Geetha in schools, to leave the country as they were unfit to live here. He was speaking in a programme on Bhagawad-Githa chapter in Kolar on Thursday. What ever one may say, he added but the Govt. is bound by carrying on the campaign for B. Gita and there was no question of going back on it.
Those who worship a foreign culture should go there abroad. Githa is a part and parcel of Indian culture. No calamity can take place by teaching Geetha in our schools, he insisted.
The Govt. is fully behind the holy scripture of Githa. The temples and monasteries are centers of our faith and thoughts. The Govt. is bound to maintain the monasteries. Nevertheless, goaded by minority or opposition parties, state High Court has issued a notice on Thursday to Union and state rulers on Githa to explain.
