Tumkur (Bangalore): A Guru Vandana programme held at Tumkur, unexpectedly brought about an unusual meeting of two giants, the former CM, H.D. Kumaraswamy (JD-S) and the present CM, B.S Yeddyurappa of BJP, on a single platform. They greeted each other warmly even when they mutually had attacked on land grab stories fed to the people at charge till now.
The place was in Tumkur Siddalingeshwar Mutt, 70 miles out of Bangalore and the occasion was in honour of 90 year old Shivakumara Swamiji, by his disciples.
HDK requested his former deputy (BSY) to hold an enquiry into charges made by B.J Puttaswamy (CM’s Political secretary) on Devegowda family’s land deals of 81 acres of Gomal (pasture) land in Hasan dt. HDK supporters had pelted stones at BJP’s house on hearing accusations of BJP against Devegowda on Dec 1.
BSY assured his former boss HDK that he would look into the incidents in the next 2 days. 24 JD-S miscreants are under arrest after attacks on BJP’s house in Bangalore.
