Mangalore : JD(S) candidate from Mangalore South SP Changappa has claimed that the party’s state Chief HD Kumaraswamy during his tenure as chief minister of the state was responsible for several developmental works.
He was speaking to reporters after inaugurating a unique publicity campaign of the party at its election office here on April 28, Sunday.
Changappa said he was confident that the JD(S) would be victorious in the assembly elections and added the state will see HD Kumaraswamy as its next chief minister.
He said Kumaraswamy had made a novel initiative of village stay which gave him an opportunity to listen to the problems of the people.
Changappa was further critical of Mangalore South MLA and BJP candidate Yogish Bhat and alleged that he failed to achieve anything significant during his tenure.
Changappa also stated that the JD(S) aims to reach out to as many number of voters as possible.
