Mangaluru : A head constable of a police station in the city has been arrested under POCSO Act on charges of  misbehaving with a minor girl through mobile phone calls and messages.

Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case is filed against him.

It is said, he collected the phone number of the girl, who had come to a police station along with her parents  to lodge a POCSO case in January against an auto-rickshaw driver who was harassing the girl.

He started messaging her in an inappropriate way.

The family of the girl approached Child Welfare Committee. A case was filed at the women’s police station against the constable.
